The Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida is to open a Cabin in the Woods attraction, which should be completed by September, in time for annual Halloween Horror Nights celebration.
Drew Goddard, director and co-writer (along with Joss Whedon) of the movie, has written the story for the attraction which will take the form of a maze, allowing visitors to discover more about the mysterious organization that ran and organized the cabin.
Goddard - "My wish for 'Cabin' was always that it would live on outside the film, and I can't imagine a better fit for what we were trying to do with the movie than make a maze out of it."
Universal will open the attraction on certain nights (weekends probably) between September 20th and November 2nd, and have stated that classic Universal monsters already used in the park will join the monsters from the movie in the attraction.
Universal - "We are building the cabin completely, you're going to walk through a forest to get there. You're going into the cabin. You're going to go into the cube cells."
